SMS & WhatsApp Messaging Program

Last updated: May 2026

This page describes how recipients opt in to receive text and WhatsApp messages from Routeless, what those messages contain, and how to get help or stop messages.

Who receives messages

Routeless sends SMS and WhatsApp messages only to business operators and team members who have explicitly opted in. Messages are transactional and service-related — not marketing blasts. Examples include:

  • Project and onboarding updates after you apply on routeless.io
  • Team alerts when a new lead arrives, a booking is confirmed, or a payment is received
  • Meeting reminders, call summaries, and prep notes for scheduled calls
  • Replies from Vector, our AI assistant, when you text operational questions or notes

Opt-in method 1 — Web form (routeless.io)

When you apply for Routeless services at routeless.io/apply, you may optionally provide a mobile phone number. If you enter a phone number, you must actively check a consent box (it is never pre-selected) before submitting.

Example consent on the apply form

The form includes:

  • A phone number input field (optional unless you want text updates)
  • An unchecked consent checkbox you must select yourself
  • A clear description of message types and variable frequency
  • Disclosure that message and data rates may apply
  • STOP and HELP instructions
  • Links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Opt-in method 2 — Business portal (team alerts)

Business customers using the Routeless platform configure team alert recipients inside their authenticated business portal. An account administrator:

  1. Opens Studio → Alerts in the business portal
  2. Adds a team member with their mobile phone number in E.164 format
  3. Enables the WhatsApp and/or SMS channel for that recipient
  4. Selects which event types to subscribe to (e.g., new lead, booking confirmed, meeting prep)
  5. Saves the recipient and may send a one-time Test WhatsApp or Test SMS to confirm delivery

Each event subscription is opt-in and defaults off until explicitly enabled. By enabling a channel and saving a phone number, the recipient agrees to receive the selected alert types for that business.

Operators may also text the Routeless platform WhatsApp number to interact with Vector (our AI assistant). Sending a message confirms the number is reachable and opens a conversational session for CRM updates and replies.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your business activity and the alert types you enable. Most recipients receive a handful of messages per week. High-volume businesses may receive more frequent alerts when leads, bookings, or meetings occur.

Message content

Messages may contain:

  • Plain text summaries of leads, bookings, payments, or meetings
  • Embedded links to your Routeless dashboard or related resources
  • Phone numbers or contact details for leads (in team alert context only)

Routeless does not send messages containing direct lending content, loan arrangements, or age-gated content.

Help and opt-out

  • STOP — Reply STOP to any Routeless message to unsubscribe from further SMS or WhatsApp messages on that number.
  • HELP — Reply HELP for assistance or email team@routeless.io.
  • Portal — Business administrators can disable SMS/WhatsApp channels or remove a recipient in Studio → Alerts at any time.

Privacy and terms

  • Privacy Policy — includes our mobile number non-sharing statement and messaging disclosures
  • Terms of Service — includes SMS and WhatsApp messaging terms
