Constraints

The vendor boundary remains part of the scope.

  • The client must grant the service account read access to the exact Search Console property.
  • Search Console normally finalizes performance data after a two-to-three-day lag.
  • The Search Analytics API returns at most 25,000 rows per page and requires pagination.
  • Search Console reports search visibility and clicks; it does not by itself attribute leads or revenue.
Credentials and failure behavior

A successful request is not the whole integration.

Credential handling

The service-account key stays outside the repository in a restricted local or client-owned secret location. The reporting workflow requests the read-only webmasters scope and supports an environment variable pointing to the key file.

Failure behavior

Missing credentials, inaccessible properties, and non-success API responses stop the report with an explicit error. Reports record observed dates and missing finalized days rather than silently treating incomplete data as a complete comparison.
