Routeless for med spas

Book consultations for the treatments worth booking.

We asked three AI assistants to recommend a med spa 90 times.

First-time clients are nervous, and nervous buyers research. Increasingly that research starts by asking an assistant who is safe. So we ran the experiment: 6 hiring questions across 5 metros — Las Vegas, NV, Tampa, FL, Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Austin, TX — put to 3 assistants on July 26, 2026. Every answer was saved. Here is what came back.

208 different med spas named across 90 answers
16/30 questions where no two assistants named a single business in common
10.7% of the 913 sources cited were directories, not company websites
20.0% of ChatGPT answers still named no specific business

The assistants are already naming names

Asked who to hire, these assistants did not deflect to a directory or lecture the buyer about getting three quotes. They answered with specific companies, by name, in nearly every response — 208 different med spas across the 90 answers we collected. Whatever else that means, it settles the question of whether this surface matters yet: a recommendation is being made to your buyers today, and somebody's name is in it.

The assistants do not agree with each other

There is no single "AI answer" to optimise for. Comparing the businesses each assistant named for the same question in the same city, 16 of 30 comparisons produced no overlap at all — three assistants, three completely different shortlists. Across the whole set they named 208 different med spas. Being recommended by one tells you very little about the others.

Who the assistants actually named

These are the med spas recommended more than once in each city during the run. They are not our clients and this is not a ranking of quality — it is a record of who the assistants surfaced on July 26, 2026. If you are in one of these markets and not on this list, that is the gap worth closing.

  • Phoenix, AZ Suddenly Slimmer Med Spa, Royal Aesthetics & Injectables, Look Lab Med Spa
  • Austin, TX Viva Day Spa + Med Spa, BEAUX MedSpa, Aesthetica Med Spa
  • Las Vegas, NV The Look Med Spa, Chic la Vie Med Spa, Flawless MedSpa
  • Denver, CO Rejuvenate MedSpa, RESTOR Medical Spa, The Luxe Room
  • Tampa, FL ÉLAN Aesthetics

Where the recommendations actually come from

All three assistants searched the web before answering and cited what they read, so we counted every source. These are the sites doing the actual work of deciding which businesses get mentioned:

  • medicalspalocator.com36
  • medspascout.com30
  • yelp.com27
  • discovermedspa.com26
  • reddit.com21
  • realself.com20
  • thelookmedspalv.com13
  • luxeroomcosmetic.com13
  • trustanalytica.org12
  • suddenlyslimmer.com12

That is low, and it is the good version of this result. In this market the assistants leaned on businesses' own websites far more than on aggregators, which means the page you control is the evidence being read — and improving it is not gated behind a directory's update queue.

Exactly what we asked

Published so the study can be checked rather than taken on trust. Each question was put to all 3 assistants in all 5 cities:

  • Who is the best med spa in [city]? commercial
  • I want to get Botox for the first time in [city] and I am worried about picking the wrong place. Which local med spa should I go to? situational
  • Who is the best place for laser hair removal in [city]? commercial
  • I am looking for a med spa in [city] with a licensed injector for lip filler. Which one should I book? situational
  • Which med spa in [city] has the best client reviews? commercial
  • Who is the best medical spa for skin treatments in [city]? commercial

Method. 6 questions × 5 metros × 3 assistants = 90 answers, collected July 26, 2026 from ChatGPT (gpt-5-mini), Google Gemini (gemini-flash-latest), Perplexity (sonar). Every assistant was queried with web search enabled, because that is what a buyer's app does. Asked the same questions with search turned off, these models answer from memory and refuse to name almost anyone — a measurement of the model, not of your market. Business names were resolved across spelling variants within each metro before counting. Assistants are non-deterministic, so these figures describe one collection run on one date rather than a permanent state of the world — which is why we re-run it instead of quoting it forever. Why it matters

Med spa marketing is constrained in ways most agencies ignore.

Claims are regulated

Outcome promises and before-and-after use are governed by platform policy and state rules. Copy that ignores that gets ads disapproved and can create real exposure.

Price shoppers crowd out the right clients

Discount-led marketing fills the calendar with one-time bookings. The clients worth having are choosing an injector they trust.

The proof lives on Instagram

The gallery, the credentials, and the personality are on a social profile, while the website — the thing search and assistants read — says almost nothing.

Consults no-show

A booked consultation with no reminder, no context, and no preparation is a coin flip.

How intake works

From a treatment question to a consultation that shows up.

Consultation intake should find out what the client actually wants, how soon, and what they are worried about — so the provider walks in prepared and the client walks in reassured.

01

Client arrives

Often a first-timer, often comparing three providers, usually nervous about picking wrong.

02

Treatment interest

Injectables, laser, skin, or body. The questions change with the answer.

03

Goals & timing

What they want to change, when they need to be ready, and any prior treatment history.

04

Consult summary

A brief for the provider, so the consultation starts informed rather than at the beginning.

05

Booked & reminded

Scheduled, synced, and followed up so the consult actually happens.

What we build

Credibility first, because that is what is being bought.

The build puts the provider, the credentials, and the real experience in front of a cautious buyer, inside the constraints that actually apply to aesthetic marketing.

Med spa website

  • Treatment pages written for first-timers
  • Injector and provider credentials
  • Compliant gallery and review presentation
  • Consultation booking on every page

Consultation intake

  • Treatment-specific question paths
  • Goals, timing, and history captured up front
  • Provider-ready consult summaries
  • Reminders that reduce no-shows

Compliance-aware copy

  • Claims kept inside platform and state rules
  • Careful before-and-after handling
  • Clear consent and privacy language
  • Ad copy reviewed against the same limits

Aesthetic search & AI visibility

  • Radar baseline scan and weekly tracking
  • Presence on the review sites aesthetic buyers trust
  • Treatment and injector page structure
  • Dated, sourced answer receipts you can audit
Evidence you can inspect

Live production work, not a portfolio of mockups.

Aesthetic buyers behave like patients researching a provider, not like shoppers. These are engagements where credibility, careful information handling, and a considered booking decision were the whole problem.

Healthcare routing

Central Valley Dentists

A dental platform organised the way people actually search: by what they need, who takes their insurance, and who answers on a Saturday. Eight cities live, thirty-plus specialty pages, guides reviewed by a practicing dentist.

Assessment funnel

The Exit Upgrade

A hard service to sell from a brochure, so the site leads with proof instead: a fifteen-question readiness score returned instantly, and a full sample report published openly before anyone spends a dollar.

Regulated workflow

VisaMind

Guided immigration workflows across 14 countries with accounts, a document vault, and AI interview coaching — built around sensitive applicant data and a deep content layer for search and AI answers.

Pricing

Three scopes. One connected acquisition system.

Projects start at $7,500. The core Visibility & Intake engagement averages about $15,000 because it combines the website with the strategy, content, attribution, intake, and post-launch work that make it commercially useful.

  • Website & Conversion Foundation from $7,500
  • Visibility & Intake System — recommended $12,500–$17,500
  • Market Authority System $20,000–$35,000+

Full scope for each tier is on the services page. After launch, Website Care runs $350–$500/month, Visibility Management runs $1,250–$1,750/month, and Growth Management runs $2,500–$4,000/month + media. Monthly work is optional. Standalone SEO and AI-visibility work starts at $500.

FAQ

Questions med spas ask.

We write to the constraints rather than around them — no outcome guarantees, careful handling of before-and-after imagery, and claims kept to what your providers can support. We are not your compliance counsel, and anything medical should be reviewed by someone who is.

By making the site about the provider rather than the promotion. Credentials, training, real results, and a consultation path convert the client who is choosing carefully — which is the client who returns.

Structured reminders and pre-consult context help materially. The intake also filters out bookings that were never serious, which is less visible but often the bigger win.

Both, but the website is the one search engines and AI assistants can actually read. A gallery that exists only on social is invisible to the systems now making recommendations.

Eric leads the project directly and remains your technical point of contact from strategy and design through development, launch, and support.
